History of Apostolic Movement in the Rhondda

T.V.Lewis and John.A.Jones went to Lewynhendy. the day of Pastors W.Phillip's and Evan Jones's farewell meeting at Hebron, Dafen, on their going out to Ireland (1920) to enquire of Pastors D.P.Williams and Thomas Jones about the Apostolic doctrine and Divine Order.

The First Assembly
At that time meetings were being held at Blaenrhondda and Cldach Vale. Soon after T.V.Lewis and another brother went down to Pontypridd to give Pastor D.P.Williams and Prophet J.Omri Jones an invitation to Blaenrhondda to set the little assembly in order. T.V.Lewis took over the undersight of the assembly. Blaenrhondda was the first open door for the Apostolic vision in the Rhondda. At that time T.V.Lewis was living in Clydach Vale, during the summer of 1921, an invitation was given to the Apostolic brethren to hold a Mission at Bethlehem Clydach Vale. It is reported that God's glory filled that little place as the word of God was being ministered, and as a result the room became to small. The Pentecostal brethren at the Gospel Hall, Blaenclydach, lent their Hall to the Apostolic Christians. This place also became full and resulted in the coming over of the Pentecostal brethren.

Tonypandy Convention
In the same year, Pastor D.P.Williams was invited to be one of the speakers at the Pentecostal convention . The result of that convention was that Pastor T.Rees was called to be an Apostle, and the whole assembly decided to join the Apostolic Church.
Following this the saints at Trealaw and Tonyrefail joined. In January 1922, the Lord established the Church at Cwmpark, the blessing of God was realised.

At that time Nine assemblies came into being, stretching from Blaencwm at the top of the Rhondda Valley down to Trealaw.
Blaenrhondda, Blaencwm, Cwmpark, Treorchy, Blaenclydach, Cldach Vale,
Tonypandy, Tonyrefail ,Trealaw,

During this time three Brethren were called to be Apostles Pastor Thomas Rees, in1921; Pastor T.V.Lewis, in 1925; Pastor David LLewellyn, in 1933. Many young men laid their lives on the Altar for God during this period.God's hand was at work through the preaching of the Word
